Great food, great service. Not pretentious as you might expect. We've sat at the bar and table service and love both. Stop in for brunch and a mimosa! Fish entrees are great, everything seemed to be a good value for the price. Sitting outside was very nice, service was still great and the location is fantastic.

The food was delicious, but the waiter was terrible. I had a business dinner and the space cadet took one of three of our orders then walked away. We finally all got to order. The food came out at different times which was awkward. Better service would have equaled five stars.

Wow really was disappointed. Had the Filet mignon and ordered it well done but I did not expect it to come out burnt. Claamri was good and the spinach salad was good. I think next time I want to spend that kind of money. I will go out to bestro 821 out in Naples.

The food was good. I got the espresso crusted tenderloin. Ordered medium, came out closer to medium rare. The risotto was bland and boring. Drinks were weak. Service was pretty terrible. Neil was our guy and he was not very efficient. He was slow with our first drink, said "ok I'll be back in a little bit actually". Waited on my drinks, food, check, everything. He just continued to just disappear. I doubt I'll go back. Plenty of better places.

Have this place four stars because the food was very good and the service was very good as we sat outside to enjoy the Florida sunshine. This is a good place to have lunch

We came for dinner on new years's day, which may have accounted for the dining room being cold and empty (always a worrying sign when planning to order seafood). They have a large area of outdoor seating, facing the walkways in bell tower- these might be lovely on a warm evening. But this review is about food, not ambience. Our party of six had a variety of entrees, including the grouper. All were well prepared, with interesting sides and sauces, but for my taste, these tend to overwhelm and hide the quality of the fish. My sister had the spinach salad, and spinach leaves are about all she got. Our meals were above average but not good enough to entice a return trip.

still my favorite watering hole. Food always reliable, staff will do whatever it takes to please. Great bar area with a nice easy going community feel. Luv the burgers, meatloaf, fish tacos always good. Reliable, thanks Rebecca and Kristie and everyone else who I can't remember your names. LOL.

Located in a posh plaza in a nice neighborhood yet not meeting the standards of high end bistro.... You'd assume the food would be quite tasty, served in an interesting way, with menu offering choices for all kinds of diets and restrictions.... Well... No. It's very basic in its selection. Doesn't offer many choices for vegetarians and gluten free eaters. The food presentation on the plate is plain and simple like at a diner. The taste of good is veeeeery disappointing. Again, not much different for me whether I ate at a corner restaurant/diner or here. Also, my dishes weren't served the way they were described on the menu. They were missing ingredients. Preparation was also very poor. And by the looks and location of this place I thought I'd have a decent food experience... Oh well....

We went here just for drinks, so no comments on the food. Bar is small and atmosphere is just meh. It is in a good location and has a cool outdoor couch area that may be fun for a group to hang out with drinks. But for me on this late night - I was turned off by the attitude of the employees and management. They just came off as very inhospitable. It could have been an off night but that was the impression it left on me so I will probably not got back to dine there.

I'm giving this place a 3 not because I didn't enjoy my food because I did. I had the almond crusted Mahi Mahi with Creamy Curry Fettuccine, and It brought me back to my Jamaican days in Ocho Rios when I would order Curry Steamed Fish with Rice and Peas. My favorite dish in Jamaica:-) it was really good, but I have to say expensive.. Especially the divers scallops for the portion. I'm no cheapo, but 3 meals for $100 ( not including tip) that come with no additional sides is a bit too much for me. Maybe, just maybe.. I'll go back one day, but at lunch for the specials.

I've never been disappointed with the quality of food from Bistro 41. Their staff is always nice and attentive. They have a fairly extensive wine list to pick from and a fully stocked bar. A nice place for a date night, but not somewhere I prefer to frequent regularly.

So disappointed Ordered the special strip skirt steak med rare. Came out well. It was tuff and tasted like they had defrosted it. They did a balsamic glaze but put so much on the steak that until I scraped it off that's all I could taste. Mom had the petite filet. 4-5 ounce. Defiantly 4 ounce. Cooked Med rare. She ordered rare. Broccoli was tuff. Aldente has a whole new meaning. It needed a couple more minuets. The service was fine. I was very disappointed. They usually have great food. Maybe they are off because it's out if season.

Great food, great service. Diver Scallops, best I ever had! Great place to wine and dine! Redemption from last visit which was way out of sorts for them!

I ordered the tuna and then the filet mignon. the tuna was good but had to much sauce and seaweed salad mixed in to be able to enjoy the tuna alone. The filet, I asked for medium and it came to me rare. After asking for it to be thrown on the grill for a bit longer, it was still brought back to me in the same condition just this time with a flower on top and a bit cooler in the center!! The filet was also drenched in BBQ sauce which from the taste of it i can only assume came from a jar or a can. For food that is supposed to be able to hold its own, both my courses were smothered in mediocre sauces. Also the veggies that came with my entree were so covered in garlic they were inedible! Our waitress (Sandra) not only did not know how to describe the meal I asked about after returning to the kitchen to inquire she still returned with the reply it is a spanish dish nothing more. She also failed to correct the temperate of my meat. The only redeeming part of the meal was the bread to start and my glass of Malbec. Overall for a pretty pricey meal i expected A LOT more!!

Bell Tower Place was packed on Christmas Eve but we had a great lunch at Bistro 41. Great service. Great Cuban Sandwich. Even had a good Chocolate Bread Pudding for desert.

Went for a dinner a few nights ago. We had an amazing and funny server Garrett he was efficient and always kept our glasses full. We started with the calamari was amazing spicy yet sweet with an Asian flair. I had the peppercorn Seminole beef tenderloins crusted with ground coffee served with mushroom risotto. I must say the peeper corns overwhelmed the dish. It would of been awesome if not for too many peppercorns. My date had the filet which was cooked to perfection. For dessert we shared the croissant bread pudding which was to die for. Overall good ambience and amazing service.

Food okay but over priced and service was poor. Dirty appetizer dishes never removed from table. Staff seemed to have an attitude.

Would be nice if their chefs could learn how to cook a steak sent it back twice. Once over cooked once rare almost blue.

This is a great little place in a busy main-stream shopping center. On this visit three of us ordered a range of food including a good old American burger, Asian themed calamari and chipotle pasta chicken meal. All the orders were beautifully prepared and presented and were delicious. The service was fast and efficient. We will definitely return to this little oasis of goodness again soon. Highly recommended!

Normally a 4 star restaurant, I am only reviewing the "2 for $41" menu we were cornered into by our frugal and conversationally controlling dining "friends". Service: 5 Stars - John, I think I remember his name, was perfect, courteous, helpful and very professionally attentive to our table. Ambiance: well at 5:30 on a Tuesday (not my idea), you are stuck sharing the fresh, clean, well adorned interior with the miserable, complaining old-head. Please shoot me if I ever fit into that category in the soon approaching, not too distant future. The outside seating looked good and younger. :-( The $41 for 2 included a salad, scaled down portion entree and a dessert. I chose the caesar salad. 1 star - A fresh medium dish of fresh romaine lettuce, hardly toasted croutons, and virtually no dressing at all, bad choice. 4 stars - The salmon in teriyaki entree I chose was the highlight for me. A tender, fresh, perfectly cooked medium rare but small piece of salmon in a mild teriyaki broth, not salty at all, but a little less than a 5 star flavor to the dish. 2 stars - dessert was a round piece of chocolate, chocolate cake. Hey it was chocolate, it kept it from falling into the 1 star category. 3 stars - do you believe they threw in a cheap bottle of wine included in the price? The server unscrewed the screw-top and poured a little in my glass for tasting. I busted up laughing and asked if he really wanted me to try the "free" bottle of wine? Hey, it's free, lets chug the shit. And, it wasn't bad shit at all! I will go back, though, at a normal time and order from a normal menu. One of my fave places in that RT 41/Daniels area.

I shared the Large Bistro Salad with my lovely wife and we both had ample portions. Their fresh bread, olive oil and dipping spices are great. My dinner entree was their scrumptious Almond Encrusted Mahi-Mahi, and my wife had their Spring Rolls. The staff was very good and friendly. The bayfrontbistro.com is one of our local favorite dinner date spots.

I've been eating here at least two times a month for over 12 years. One of the most reliable non-chain restaurants in SW Florida. They know what they are about and they do it very well. Extremely well managed and the food is always excellent. Salads, quiches, soups are excellent for lunch. They also have a great touch with fish. Meatloaf used to be a favorite but I watch my calories now, so I had to bid it adieu.

I frequent this place quite often, mostly for a nice lunch while shopping. The food is always fresh, and very reasonably priced. I enjoy the wine features, as its a nice way to try new wines. Service has always been good with attentive servers, that will accommodate special requests with out the usual attitudes that most servers give. Quiche and soup is always a thumbs up!

Very expensive and very average quality. I had a shrimp appetizer which was astoundingly good. My jerk chicken was no better than something I would get at Pollo Tropical. Our waiter was good but too busy. May go back for just the shrimp.

My wife and I had dinner at Bistro41 this week and had a great experience. We sat outside and had the 2 for 41 menu, which included wine. The food was very good and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Out server Trina was excellent, always around to make sure everything was good. The service was very good with the courses coming at regular intervals but not too quickly. This place will be a definite return for us!

Dog friendly outdoor seating. YAY! The place itself was a bit tricky to find. It was behind another restaurant - you couldn't really see it from the parking lot. Their claim of being a "casual" french dining is pretty accurate. The food was very tasty and it wasn't pretentious at all. The staff was amazing, very patient and very nice. The wine prices were a bit on the high side but they did have a couple of decent less-expensive ones. On a Saturday night and based on the good reviews I thought this place would be packed, but we were the only ones there for some time. All in all, I'd definitely go back.

I must confess, I did not actually eat at the restaurant. Yet! Instead I have been enjoying fresh random preparations made by the Chef & Sous Chef at the local Green Market at the Alliance of the Arts. For the past month Bistro has been setting up a small booth at the farmer's market selling their signature mother sauces and dressings (truffle ranch, herbed lemon butter, Maytag blue butter, demi glace). All that I have tasted have been outstanding. The truffle ranch is so damned good I could eat with a spoon like ice cream! They also sell the most AMAZING Bloody Marys there too! They make it with their own tomato juice mix which is loaded with horseradish and peppery goodness. In addition to selling the aforementioned, they also give samples of tasty treats for market goers to eat as they are shopping. Each week the items prepared vary based on donated goods from other vendors. This week they had a beautiful fresh fruit salad, veggie and goat cheese frittata, spaghetti with snapper, shrimp, zuchhini, garlic, & tomatoes all tossed in their signature herbed lemon butter, and toasted french baguette schmeared generously with the Maytag blue butter. Seriously, if the food tastes this good on a makeshift stove made on the fly.... whatever they are cooking up at the restaurant has to be good! I know I can not wait to find out. I will be dining in house next weekend for sure. However, I encourage everyone to come out to the green market to sample for yourself. It is held every Saturday morning from 8-12 at the Alliance for the Arts on the corner of McGregor and Colonial.

Excellent place for lunch. Lunch crowd is usually older during the week and mixed in the weekends. Great quality food, always fresh, good service, great menu items. I can only speak for lunch. Have not been for dinner. You'll spend a little more than your average lunch price, but all worth it given that Ft Myers has limited amount of good restaurants!

Very good service, food is presented nicely and it tasted great. I had the scallops and they were fantastic. Service was great an the atmosphere was nice. Overall, on of the best in Fort Myers. I have to comment how much I enjoyed the waitstaff. Very helpful and really make you feel like you are a "regular".

Great food here.. It's one of my parents favorite places to eat so I always end up here a few times when I am in town.. If the weather is nice it's great to sit outside and people watch.. It faces the front of Saks 5th Avenue so there is plenty of interesting stuff to look at walking in and out.. Was there today and this already huge guy ordered an entire plate of french fries for his meal.. Anyways back to the review, specials are always good and service has always been great. on weekend nights they often have a live guitarist who is good.. Would definitely recommend, it's one of Fort Myers top spots.

I don't even know where to start with this place. We were visiting this place while on vacation and called around looking for an early bird deal. It was my moms birthday so when I called I asked about what they do for birthdays and was told they give a free desert. When we got there I confirmed that they would do something for my mom for her birthday and they said yes. We did the early bird dinner between my father and myself and my mom got a couple happy hour appetizers. The first waitress from the bar came out and was rude, then she must have not liked that we were getting deals and not full price menu items and all of a sudden we had the other bartender as our waitress and she was more pleasant at first. I don't want to get too into the food, all I will say is that it was very sub-par. So at the end of our meal she brings out the desert that came with the deal we were getting, and I reminded her it was my moms birthday and she said we don't do anything for birthdays. I explained what I had been told and she said she would see what she could do. 10 minutes later she brings a cup of ice cream..... Really!? This beautiful restaurant and they give a cup of ice cream? We then get the check and find that she charged us for it!? And tried to charge us full price for several other items that were happy hour items. Very very disappointed in the service here and shouldn't have left her a cent for a tip. If you do eat this sub-par food, do not eat in the bar area!

I am giving them three stars because of past experiences that were pretty good. This is a nice upscale place for dinner or lunch. They have outside seating if the weather is good. Most of their food is pretty good and you should have a nice lunch or dinner here if you go... I would like to warn you about one dish that I tried that I wish I had not. I had lunch here yesterday and tried the French Dip sandwich. I should have sent it back but my server was so busy that I felt bad. The meat on the sandwich was rubbery and of poor quality. I was surprised at how bad it was since my soup and salad were both very good. The service here is very good and I am sure they would have given me something else if I said something. I like this restaurant and will be back. I just won't be ordering the French Dip. Have fun...

I've been here many times over the years, and have found it to be consistently quite good, if a bit shy of excellent. I stopped in for lunch in August and tried the Fish Tacos. There were three of them in the serving with plenty of white fish (swai?), however they were so bland I had to ask for some hot sauce. That perked them up nicely. I did notice that the prices seem to have escalated; I don't go there often enough to know when this happened. This is always a nice experience.

Good stuff: A real chef works here. Professional servers work here. Perfect place for my business lunches. I reserve and get points through Open Table. There is indoor and outdoor seating with toasty heaters. Food is delightfully fresh, perfectly cooked. Servers know to give me black napkins instead of white. Free, easy parking. Improvements: Need better tea options, not the cheap Lipton style bags. Need more veggie options like No bacon dressings for Spinach salad. 2 add on scallops for $16??? Pricey $8 desserts, yummy but not sure I will do it again. Hard to find, park at Da Ru Ma and walk into the mall.

  • Susan B.

The food is very good here. I've only eaten at the bar, every time getting salad (not discounted at happy hour) and sometimes an appetizer (half price during HH). Usually the bartenders are nice and attentive; the one the other night didn't discuss specials and when he gave me my check he charged me for two full price glasses of wine ($9 house Chardonnay). Enjoy this favorite place, but review you bill before you slap down the credit card! They often have music outside, and this week the singer was fabulous - he sounded like Marvin Gaye had returned from the dead! Wonderful. There is nice outside seating for patrons and those shopping around.
